Scammers are getting way too gutsy by the day. Their methods are just getting stronger by the day and we have to be very safe. A video is going really viral on X (formerly Twitter). Here the victim is seen arguing with the scammer who has been caught red-handed. Read along to find out what happened.

What happened?

An X user known as Simple Man shared a video that shows the victim received a call from an unknown 15-digit mobile number. The caller alleged that he was calling from his bank. He claimed that his bank account needed some immediate verification. To do this, the caller asked him to visit a website.

Once the victim reached the website, he was asked to make a payment of Rs 8,999 via UPI. He was even asked to enter his UPI PIN here. The victim understood that there was something fishy and asked why the money would get debited instead of getting credit. The caller assured him that this was the protocol and money would not get debited. He said if his money does get debited, he can file a complaint too.

This is when the victim lost his cool and said that how will he register a complaint when he was calling from a fake number. He said that he was recording this call and would file a police complaint. This is when the scammer responded that he was indeed calling a fake number which cannot be traced back and he cannot do anything.

Look at the guts that this scammer has. This video should be an eye-opener for us and we should really not trust anyone calling us from random numbers asking for OTPs and UPI Pins. Stay safe online, and practice caution at all times.
