Samsung has unveiled its fist B2B and water-resistant tablet called the Galaxy Tab Active. The tablet is meant for business users and professionals and comes with a C-Pen stylus, Android 4.4 Kitkat OS and a quad-core processor.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is a ruggedized version of the Galaxy Tab4 8.0, launched earlier in April this year. The Galaxy Tab Active has a dust and water-resistant with IP67 certification, and comes with an anti-shock covering.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has an 8-inch WXGA TFT LCD display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution and has a 'C-Pen' stylus. It has a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 1.5GB of RAM and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. The tablet has a 3.1 MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash, and a 1.2 MP front camera. It has 16GB built-in storage expandable via microSD card up to 64GB. Connectivity options included are inbuilt Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3G and 4G LTE connectivity. Samsung adds that the 4450mAh battery is user-replaceable. The Galaxy Tab Active will be launched in two variants – Wi-Fi and LTE. It will be available in Titanium Green color and Samsung is also offering its Knox security feature, along with an optional three years extended warranty.

Samsung unveiled the much awaited Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy Note 4, Gear S smartwatch and Gear VR headset at the IFA event in Berlin earlier this week. The electronics giant stated that the smartphones and smartwatch will be available in October but no details were given about the launch date of Gear VR headset.
