Samsung has announced Flex Hybrid OLED for CES 2023 happening in Las Vegas from January 5. The device is a fold-and-expand touchscreen display that can unfold and expand up to a large 10.5” display with a 4:3 ratio and slide further to an even bigger 12.4” panel with a 16:10 ratio.
In the folded state, its fit and form can look like a smartphone. The fold and slide panel will be one of the standout showcases at CES 2023 by Samsung. The Flex Hybrid OLED display can be expanded from a 14” OLED into a 17.3” screen.
Now although all that sounds interesting, note that it is just a prototype yet.
Samsung has also announced the QD-OLED TV that “comes with AMD’s FreeSync Premium Pro certification for the ultimate OLED gaming experience.” This is just one of the many Samsung TV technologies the company has disclosed at CES 2023.
The 2023 lineup of Neo QLED (Mini LED in Samsung parlance), QLED (standard LCD sets), and OLED TVs include AI optimizations. You will be also experiencing VRR up to 144Hz in the high-end TVs. In the Neo QLED, there is gonna be a new Auto HDR Remastering feature which uses AI to convert SDR scenes into HDR where necessary to make the output brighter and livelier.
Not to mention, the company will add plenty of new features in TVs as well such as Chat Together, ConnecTime, 3D Map View, The Premier 8K, The Freestyle with Smart EDGE Blending, New UI, AI Energy Saving Mode, AI Sound Remastering, Q-Symphony.
