Samsung One UI 7 release in India and other countries halted again, here’s why

Galaxy S24 users reported phone unlocking issues after installing One UI 7.
Rollout halted in India and other countries while Samsung investigates the bug.
No similar problems reported on Galaxy Z Fold 6 or Galaxy Z Flip 6 so far.
Samsung has reportedly halted the One UI 7 release for the Galaxy S24 series after the users started complaining about a critical bug. For the unversed, the company started the rollout with South Korea and was recently rolling out the update to the users in India, the US, and Canada in a phased manner. However, the company has now halted the wider rollout due to the reports from South Korea where users faced serious phone unlocking issues post-update.
According to the reports citing social media users and tipster Ice Universe, some Galaxy S24 users have claimed that they are facing problems in unlocking their devices under certain conditions after installing the One UI 7 update. The report further added that the bug affects the phone’s core function and is the reason why Samsung has halted the wider release of the update.
When will Samsung release the One UI 7 update in India?
Interestingly, Samsung is yet to announce the One UI 7 release time for the last generation of smartphones. The report has also added that the company is reviewing the firmware to address the bug and prevent disruptions. However, this comes as bad news as the users outside South Korea will have to wait for a little longer to receive the update.

The issue appears to be limited to the Galaxy S24 series, as there have been no reports of similar problems affecting Galaxy Z Fold 6 or Galaxy Z Flip 6 users as of yet. Until then, if you’ve received the One UI 7 update, we advise you to stick to your current software version and wait for future updates from the company.
However, we have updated our Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra to One UI 7 and we are not facing any issues with the unlocking. The update has been smooth and we have not encountered major bugs. Stay tuned with Digit for the latest One UI 7 release date for Galaxy S24, Galaxy S23, and other series.
