Samsung Galaxy Unpacked July 2024: What to expect?

At the Galaxy Unpacked July event, Samsung will likely announce its next-generation foldable devices: the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. Additionally, there are rumours that Samsung will launch the much-awaited Galaxy Ring, as well as the Galaxy Watch 7.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is expected to feature a titanium frame and a thinner design. This foldable device will likely be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. While there are no reports suggesting a camera upgrade, we can expect advancements in AI, with new AI-powered photo editing features enhancing the user experience.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 is anticipated to come with several significant changes this year. Firstly, the Z Flip 6 will likely be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. Additionally, it could come with a larger battery than its predecessor’s 3700mAh capacity. The Galaxy Z Flip 6’s camera is rumoured to be upgraded from a 12MP primary sensor to a 50MP main camera. 

Lastly, Samsung is expected to offer a larger cover display compared to the Galaxy Z Flip 5’s cover screen.

Samsung Galaxy Ring

Samsung has displayed the Galaxy Ring at various trade shows. It has already been revealed that the Galaxy Ring will come in nine sizes and three colours, with a weight of just 3 grams. Rumoured features include health monitoring capabilities such as an ECG sensor, sleep tracking tools, and blood flow measurement, menstrual prediction. Additionally, users can expect smart features for controlling other Samsung devices.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 7

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra is expected to come with a unique squircle design with a 1.5-inch round display. This smartwatch might be available in Titanium Gray, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Beige colour options. Rumours suggest that the Galaxy Watch 7 could be powered by the new Exynos W1000 SoC, paired with 32GB of storage. It might support faster 15-watt wireless charging.

Other rumoured features include a 2,000-nit brightness for the display, sapphire crystal screens, and bodies made of titanium and aluminium. This smartwatch could offer IP68 water and dust resistance, along with a MIL-STD-810H durability rating.
