The most awaited and one of the first flagship smartphones launched is just a few weeks away. South Korean tech giant Samsung will soon unveil its latest flagship lineup, the Galaxy S25 series. The Galaxy Unpacked event is expected to take place in January 2025. During the launch, along with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25, a lot of other things are also expected. Here’s a quick round-up of everything we can expect to see at the Galaxy Unpacked event in 2025.
Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025: What to expect
Samsung Galaxy S25 series
This one is a no-brainer. We can get to see three smartphones with the series: Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. In addition to this, there were also rumours about a new model, which is the Galaxy S25 Slim. However, we are not sure whether these rumours will come true or not.
Speaking about the flagship Galaxy S25 Ultra, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is rumored to introduce a flat-frame design with rounded corners. It can run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, It may also debut a 16GB RAM variant. Camera upgrades are a key highlight, it can pack a 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor (Samsung JN3), replacing the current 12MP sensor.
The standard Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus models are anticipated to feature some design changes, such as brighter displays with thinner bezels. Like the Ultra, both models are expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.
One UI 7
With the Galaxy S25 series, Samsung will unveil One UI 7 based on Android 15. It will bring more Galaxy AI features, a refreshed design, and improved privacy controls. While a preview has already been seen on the Galaxy S24 series, a full rollout is expected with the Galaxy S25 launch.
Project Moohan: Samsung’s XR Headset
This one is something that I am personally excited about. Samsung can also preview Project Moohan, which is an XR headset developed by Google and Qualcomm. It is powered by Google’s Android XR platform. The device will feature advanced displays, pass-through capabilities, and multi-modal inputs. Users will be able to use Google Maps, YouTube, and AI-powered assistance from Gemini on this.
