According to a new GFXBench listing, Nokia D1C is quite possibly an upcoming tablet not a smartphone. The listing suggests that the device has a massive 13.8-inch display sporting a 1080p resolution. This makes it as big as the Samsung Galaxy View and about an inch larger in size than the bigger iPad Pro, which features a 12.9-inch display. However, the rest of the specifications remain pretty much the same as the ones we saw on the AnTuTu benchmark, which surfaced a few days back.
From what we know so far, the rumored Nokia D1C device will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC. This is the same SoC, in use by the Xiaomi Redmi 3S and 3S Prime. The Nokia D1C has been cited with this SoC in multiple benchmarks, including Geekbench. The rest of the specifications include 3GB of RAM and about 16GB of storage. The GFXBench listing also suggests that the device will feature a 16MP rear camera, which seems odd considering the large size of the display suggesting it won’t be a very handy device. At the front, the device may feature an 8MP camera offering 1080p video recording. Lastly, the Nokia D1C will be running on Android 7.0 Nougat.
Going by these latest specifications, it seems like we might have to wait for a Nokia phone for a bit longer. Also, The Nokia D1C will be the second tablet by the company after the Nokia N1 and it is most likely that Foxconn will be producing it under the Nokia brand. We just hope that unlike the Nokia N1, the company brings its next product to India.
