The whole twitter hacking business has raised concerns with many people as to how safe are these cloud hosting solutions. When a lone hacker wa able to gain access to the accounts of some of private documents of Twitter employees.

In a response by Twitter, they claim that while they are shook up by this breach of privacy, and ae concerned about how it may affect their future, this hack does not compromise the privacy of their millions of users. While the hack revels some personal and often embarrassing information about Twitter employees, and contains records that if revealed might be quite damaging to some people, the security breach was in the Google Apps account, and does not affect the Twitter website.

They will continue using Google Apps as the security flaw was in not keeping a strong enough password and not a vulnerability in Google’s services.

Twitter claims, that for them this has surely been an embarrassing experience, and they have concerns about how this may affect their future relationship with some of the people whose information has been exposed. Twitter is also looking for legal responses to this incident, and how what implications they may have for the people who leaked the documents and those who distributed them.
