Interestingly, Xiaomi announced the Pad SE a few months ago which only had Wi-Fi connectivity. But, since this tablet has ‘4G’ in its name, we can expect cellular support. However, Wi-Fi or cellular, the main question is “How much should it cost?” Let me tell you what we know about it.

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Pad SE (Wi-Fi) this year in April at a price of Rs 12,999. Now, it is introducing the 4G variant. Although it would have been better to see a 5G version but well, can’t do anything now. Generally, cellular variants of tablets are more expensive than their Wi-Fi counterparts. Therefore, the Redmi Pad SE 4G will likely be priced slightly higher than the Wi-Fi version. If the Wi-Fi variant is priced at Rs 12,999, we can expect the 4G variant to launch between Rs 13,000 to Rs 15,000.

About this tablet, Xiaomi has only teased it in the picture that surprisingly reveals a changed design. The Redmi Pad SE 4G will feature a circular camera module on the back, whereas, the standard Pad SE has a rectangular camera module. The rest of the design looks similar and Xiaomi’s teaser also reveals two colour options; Green and Blue.

Now, about its specifications, we are expecting that the Pad SE 4G will most likely come with the same specifications as the Pad SE Wi-Fi variant. Let me brief you on its specifications.

Redmi Pad SE specifications

The Redmi Pad SE features an 11-inch IPS LCD display with 1200 x 1920 pixels resolution and 90Hz refresh rate support. It is powered by the Snapdragon 680 processor, which is paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It runs on MIUI Pad 14 OS, which is based on Android 13. However, we are expecting the Android 14-based UI with the new Redmi Pad SE 4G. Moreover, it has an 8-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls. Lastly, it is packed with an 8000mAh battery with 18-watt fast charging support.
