PUBG Mobile update bugged with sound issues, claims streamer.

He says that there is no directional sound.

Powerbang Gaming claims that an update to the mobile variant of the game broke the sound and “it’s just noise.”

A PUBG Mobile streamer has posted a video on YouTube claiming that an update has broken the sound of the game. He says that the game now has a “weird” sound, making it unplayable for some. Interestingly, the streamer hasn’t specified which update broke the sound of the game, and given that the developers roll out updates frequently, it is hard to pinpoint the exact package that brought the sound issue. He has appealed to the developers of the game to release a fix for the same.

“Something changed with the sound, boys. I can’t hear anything anymore. There is no directional sound anymore, it’s just noise. They broke the sound in PUBG Mobile in one of these recent updates. It sounds like I’m playing underwater,” The person speaking in the new video from Powerbang Gaming said, claiming that earlier he could identify enemy directions but now he cannot do that.

In the video, we can also see the person tinkering with the game’s sound settings but nothing happened. He also says that the PUBG team keeps on adding features and content while the gameplay continues to suffer. Recently, PUBG Mobile released the 0.12.0 beta update fixing multiple bugs to deliver a smoother gaming experience, however, we do not know for sure if the sound issue has been resolved.

Meanwhile, the beta update brings along several new features. Players can now take their pet companions such as eagles as pet companions into the game, which will be visible only to them and their teammates. The aim is to let users earn XP in some undisclosed way. These companions need 10,000 XP to level up and unlock new animations, and XP can be bought in the form of food where each piece of food grants 100XP to the pet.

Additionally, there’s a new “Survive Until the Rescue arrives” event where users need to “survive till extraction.” In this mode, players will be placed at a random area on the Erangel map, and  they will need to survive till they are extracted. Currently, the event is called 'Zombie: Darkest Night' mode. The move is aimed at keeping the players engaged to the game at a time when there are reports of potential competitors cropping up.
