Penta T-Pad WS708C dual-SIM tablet with voice-calling launched at Rs. 6,999
Pantel has announced a dual-SIM tablet for Rs. 6,999. The device runs on Android 4.1 Jelly bean and has a 1GHz processor along with 512MB of RAM.
Pantel has added a new tablet to its portfolio, the Penta T-Pad WS708C. The USP of the device is that it boasts of dual-SIM capabilities. The tablet runs on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean and there is no information on the future OS upgrades. The tablet costs Rs. 6,999.
In terms of the specifications, the Pantel Penta T-Pad WS708C has a 1GHz Cortex A9 CPU with the Mali-400 GPU and 512MB of RAM. The device has a 7-inch display with a 480×800 pixel resolution. It has 4GB built-in storage expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. It also houses a 2MP rear camera and a 0.3MP front facing camera.
In terms of connectivity, the Penta T-Pad WS708C boasts of miniUSB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, HDMI out and voice calling via the SIM card. It also houses a 3000mAh battery. 2G and 3G data connectivity is supported via USB dongle.

The Pantel Penta T-Pad WS708C isn’t the first dual-SIM tablet to hit store shelves in India. For Rs. 11,990, the HCL ME Y3 is the premium device launched by HCL, powered by a 1GHz Cortex A9 CPU, a “built-in 3D GPU,” and 1GB of RAM.
The ME Y3 comes with dual-SIM capabilities (GSM GSM), where one slot supports 2G, and the other 3G. The tablet supports voice calling as well as video calling over the 3G network. The device has a 7-inch display with a 1024×600 pixel resolution, a 0.3MP front-facing camera, a 3.2MP rear camera, 4GB of built-in storage expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card, and a 3100mAh battery.
