Specifications
CMOS sensor; video: 640 x 480 @ 30 fps; still: 640 x 480; inbuilt microphone; USB 2.0

Our Verdict
This cam looks decent enough, and has a protective visor for the lens when not in use. The inbuilt microphone is convenient. Focus can be adjusted by manually rotating the lens. The camera can be rotated in any direction using the horizontal and vertical swivel. Quick snaps can be clicked using the provided button.
The camera captures video with good colour, brightness, contrast, and sharpness, producing overall good results in fluorescent as well as daylight lighting conditions. Image quality is not the best, but it’s still respectably good, and the Tech-com SSD-641-MP can manage to give the more expensive webcams a run for their money.

A ridiculously inexpensive model, priced at just Rs 549, and with above-average performance results, this one has to be the winner of the Zero1 Award for PC Web Cameras.

Runner-Up: Microsoft LifeCam VX-6000
