Currently, the world is seeing an AI revolution like never before. Everyone is trying to up their AI game, and we are mere spectators. From what we have seen so far, OpenAI-led ChatGPT is one of the most popular technologies so far. It seems like those at the OpenAI headquarters know of this and they are leaving no stone unturned to remain at the top.
After successfully launching the GPT4o model, the top man at OpenAI, CEO Sam Altman, has hinted at GPT-5. He said that with this upcoming model, they are going to take a significant leap ahead.
Speaking about the same, Altman said, “We don’t know yet. We are optimistic, but we still have a lot of work to do on it.” He further added, “I expect it (GPT-5) to be a significant leap forward. A lot of the things that GPT-4 gets wrong, you know, can’t do much in the way of reasoning, sometimes just sort of totally goes off the rails and makes a dumb mistake, like even a six-year-old would never make.”
Apart from this, we don’t know much more about GPT5. But what we can assume from Altman’s comments is that the development is still in its early stages, with high expectations for its future capabilities.
Not just this, Altman also spoke about the progress and capabilities of GPT-4o. While praising the company’s latest model, he called it “smart, fast, fun, natural, and helpful.” Further, he added that the new voice and video modes as the “best computer interface” he has ever used. He said that it is like “AI from the movies.”
Well, he remained tight-lipped about other details, like when will the new model arrive. But let’s wait and see what they have to offer.
