In an X post, OpenAI wrote, “Our new GPT-4 Turbo is now available to paid ChatGPT users. We’ve improved capabilities in writing, math, logical reasoning, and coding.”

Giving an example, the company said that when writing with ChatGPT, responses will now be “more direct”, “less verbose”, and “use more conversational language.”
If you want to try GPT-4 Turbo, it is now available in ChatGPT Plus, Team, Enterprise, and the API.
According to OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, the updated GPT-4 Turbo is “significantly smarter” and “more pleasant to use.”

In related news, recently, in an episode of Unconfuse Me with Bill Gates, Altman himself shared the future possibilities with OpenAI’s GPT-5. He spoke about how customisation and personalisation were important. He added how GPT-5’s ability to understand user preferences and context was a great thing. GPT-5 might be able to reason and understand complex tasks better than its predecessors. Altman had taken into consideration the cons associated with GPT-4 and shared that GPT-5 could do away with those complaints.

Also, OpenAI recently made a future blog public by mistake. The blog post spoke about the upcoming GPT-4.5 Turbo model. The post (now deleted) revealed that GPT-4.5 Turbo will have more speed, accuracy, and scalability.
This means that before a GPT-5, we could get another version in the middle: GPT-4.5 Turbo. The GPT-4.5 Turbo will likely have a knowledge window of up to June 2024.
