Even the biggest of tech companies make small mistakes and well for us those mistakes become good news. No no, there’s no need to read between the lines, I’ll tell you what’s going on. Just recently, OpenAI made a future blog public by mistake. The blog post spoke about the upcoming GPT-4.5 Turbo model.
The blog post has now been taken down, but you can get all the information here. The blog post had been indexed by Bing and DuckDuckGo. The now deleted post revealed that GPT-4.5 Turbo will have more speed, accuracy, and scalability. Now, people on Reddit and X (formerly Twitter) are going crazy about it and they went to dig in. One post of X mentions that GPT-4.5 is also mentioned in the source code on the webpage.

The source code on webpage reads, “OpenAI has announced GPT-4.5 Turbo. It is a new model that exceeds GPT-4 in speed, accuracy, and scalability. See how GPT-4.5 Turbo can generate natural language and code with a 256K token context window and a June 2024 knowledge cutoff.”
This means that before a GPT-5, we could get another version in the middle. Now, if you read closely, you will see that it mentions that GPT-4.5 will have a knowledge window of up to June 2024. The chatter on the internet suggests that OpenAI might have made a typo or it could release GPT 4.5 in the next three to four months around July or August.

Well that’s all that we know so far. But let’s see what OpenAI ends up doing. Until then all we can do is anticipate.
