OnePlus has finally hosted its Summer launch event, where the Chinese brand has rolled out the latest Nord 4, OnePlus Pad 2, Watch 2R, and Nord Buds 3 Pro. In this article, I am going to talk about the flagship tablet and what are the upgrades we are getting with it. OnePlus launched its first tablet last year in February along with the OnePlus 11. So, I will tell you what changes OnePlus is now offering with its newly launched OnePlus Pad 2.
Let’s talk design first. OnePlus has made the Pad 2 slightly heavier and the thickness is pretty much the same. It weighs 584 grams and is 6.49mm thick, whereas, the OnePlus Pad weighs 552 grams and is 6.5mm thick. However, the OnePlus Pad 2 has a bigger display than the OnePlus Pad. Look-wise, this tablet is pretty much similar to its predecessor. It has a single camera ring right in the middle of the back of this tablet.
Coming to its hardware, the OnePlus Pad 2 is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. This means we have the generative AI features onboard as well, unlike the OnePlus Pad. It has AI features such as AI Eraser 2.0, Small Cutout 2.0, AI Toolbox, Recording Summary, and Scan Document.
It is equipped with a 12.1-inch IPS LCD display that supports up to 144Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and 3K resolution. The OnePlus Pad also comes with the same display except the size is 11.61-inch and it has 2K resolution. The speaker system is also seeing an upgrade with 6 speakers now in the OnePlus Pad 2 from 4 speakers in the OnePlus Pad.
OnePlus is not offering any change in the battery. Both tablets are packed with a 9510mAh battery with 67-watt fast charging support.
With all the upgrades, the price is also getting upgraded. OnePlus has launched the Pad 2 at a starting price of Rs 39,999. On the other hand, the OnePlus Pad was launched at a starting price of Rs 37,999.
