OnePlus is all set to host its upcoming launch event, the Summer Launch Event in Italy, Milan. The company has announced the products it is launching during the event on July 12. This includes the OnePlus Nord 4, OnePlus Pad 2, OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro, and OnePlus Watch 2R. In this article, we are going to talk about the OnePlus Pad 2, which is said to be a flagship tablet. After two successful tablets, OnePlus is expected to offer even more with the Pad 2.
According to the reports, the OnePlus Pad 2 will be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Pad Pro that has already launched in China. Speaking of the specifications, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor will power the OnePlus Pad 2, if reports are to be believed. Now, is that a good thing or a bad thing? So, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is the latest and the most powerful Qualcomm chipset for smartphones. However, a lot of device reviews using this chipset have mentioned that with this processor, devices throttle and heat up as well. So, let’s see how OnePlus will tackle this challenge with the Pad 2.
Moreover, it might feature a 12.1-inch IPS LCD display, which is not what we expect from a flagship tablet, with a 3000 x 2120 pixels resolution. It is said to support Dolby Vision, 144Hz refresh rate, and have 900 nits of peak brightness.
For photography, it is rumoured to be equipped with a 13-megapixel main camera along with an 8-megapixel selfie shooter.
Additionally, it might launch in two storage variants; 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. A 9510mAh battery can power this smartphone with up to 67-watt fast charging support. Lastly, it will most likely run on OxygenOS 14, which is based on Android 14 OS.
OnePlus launched this tablet in China for ¥2799, which is approximately ₹32,000. But, it’s hard to believe that a flagship tablet will come in India under ₹35,000. So, let’s stay tuned till OnePlus actually rolls the Pad 2 out.
