Apple users always flex about the AirDrop feature, but when it comes to transferring data from Android to iPhones, that becomes a little troublesome. To solve that, OnePlus has now introduced a new feature with its latest OxygenOS 15 update. With this new feature, OnePlus users will be easily able to share files with iPhone users. The feature is called “Share with iPhone”. The feature started to make news when it was initially rolled out on the OnePlus 12 in an open beta on October 20.

The Share with iPhone feature will be available on other OnePlus devices once the stable version of OxygenOS 15 becomes available. The feature is directly integrated into the OxygenOS 15 share menu. Users just have to select a file and send it directly. However, iPhone users will have to go through a slight hassle to be able to do this. Let me share how it will work.

How to share files from OnePlus to iPhone

If you are an iPhone user and wish to share files with a OnePlus user, then you will have to download the “O+ Connect” app from the App Store. Once you install the app, you have to give it multiple permissions, including network and device permissions, to operate. While you’re transferring a file, make sure that the app is open throughout.

To share a file, the OnePlus user has to first select the file and open the “Share with iPhone” option. The OnePlus device then creates a temporary WiFi hotspot. The iPhone user then connects to this hotspot, enabling the transfer.

But it isn’t as easy as it sounds. Firstly, it is not as spontaneous as Apple’s AirDrop or Google’s Nearby Share, and sometimes users can also experience occasional delays in connection. Once a stable OxygenOS 15 version is released, we’ll get a better picture of this feature’s practicality.
