With OxygenOS 4.5.0, OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T users will experience some of the features found on the company's flagship OnePlus 5. The update brings Shot on OnePlus watermark and new wallpapers.
OnePlus has started rolling out OxygenOS 4.5.0 for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T smartphones. The update brings some of the features spotted on the open beta, which were rolled out earlier this month.
With the new update, the company is bringing its Shot on OnePlus watermark to the camera software of the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. The update brings new wallpaper with the watermark and a redesigned image editor in the Gallery. With OxygenOS 4.5.0, OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T also gets support for a lift up display feature, which may not be as good as always on display. The company is also adding support for network speed in status bar and low priority notification.
The update brings Gaming Do Not Disturb mode which prevents interruptions when OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T users are playing their favourite game. The File Manager now comes with a secure box for storing sensitive files. The update also brings scheduled night mode and new OnePlus Slate font.
Other enhancements being introduced with the update include redesigned dash charge animation and calling UI. The update offers system stability and improvements to battery life. OnePlus recently rolled out OxygenOS open beta for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T with the latest August security patch. The company also rolled out OxygenOS 4.5.10 for its newest flagship OnePlus 5 smartphone late last month.
The new OxygenOS 4.5.0 for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T are still based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and the update is currently being rolled out in the form of an over-the-air (OTA) update. Android 8.0 Oreo will be the last major update for these two devices.
