Then you’re in luck you can grab a copy of Office 2013 right away through the right channels, but if you’re a mere common mortal, you must wait till early next year to get your fix of the Windows 8-styled productivity suite.
The Office 2013 suite for business is shipping with Exchange Server 2013, Lync Server 2013, SharePoint Server 2013, Project 2013 and Visio 2013, just so you can ensure that you’ve got everything you need to get things working as smooth as possible at your workplace.
As far as when the consumers can get their hands on the final version of Office 2013 goes, all we know is that will come out sometime in the first quarter of 2013, with rumours suggesting the date will be somewhere in the last few days of January.
Along with an extensive visual overhaul, the new version is Office is now optimized for several kinds of input such as keyboard, touch and stylus. This would allow Microsoft to extend the reach of the traditional desktop productivity suite to a host of devices such as phones, tablets and even all-touch based PCs. The business customers can get their copies of Office through Microsoft’s Volume Licensing servers.
