OCZ introduces its ZS series of power supplies in India

Updated on 23-Aug-2012

OCZ has introduced its new lineup of power supplies in India, part of its ZS series, which will be available in 550W, 650W, and 750W models. The OCZ ZS series of PSUs, are meant for home desktops and gaming systems, and supposedly provide high efficiency, cool operation, and a compact case design, all at an excellent price point.

The OCZ ZS series of power supplies have been designed for system builders looking for a quality upgrade in a variety of power options, and are capable of power dual-GPU (SLI and CrossFireX). The PSUs apparently keep cool under heavy usage with a large temperature and load-controlled 135mm double ball-bearing fan, while delivering 80-Plus Bronze level efficiency, or 85% power at typical load.

OCZ says the ZS Series complies with ErP (Energy Related product) Directive to ensure less than 1W of power is used in passive standby and off modes. Other features include a single 12V Rail, continuous output rated at 40°C, overvoltage/overcurrent/short-circuit protection, Active PFC, and a (Mean Time Between Failures) MTBF of 100,000 hours.

The OCS ZS of PSUs ship with 3 year warranty backed by OCZ’s exclusive PowerSwap Warranty replacement program. So far, pricing of only the 650W (Rs. 5,950) and 750W (Rs. 8,470) models has been divulges.
