Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti spotted on Geekbench benchmarking database.

The RTX 3050 Ti is rumoured to bring ray tracing to the budget segment.

If the rumours are on point, the RTX 3050 Ti will be the fourth 3000 series GPU from Nvidia.

Rumours have been making the rounds that Nvidia will announce a GeForce RTX 3050 Ti graphics card. Now, a new leak has surfaced which adds more weight to the potential arrival of the unannounced GPU.

The leak has come in the form of a benchmark taken on a Samsung 760XDA laptop running Intel's Tiger Lake H processors. The Geekbench benchmark was discovered by a known leaker on Twitter, named TUM_APISAK. The user has shared a screenshot and a link that takes you to the benchmarking database revealing some of the specifications of the alleged Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti.

Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti leaked specifications

The specifications on the leaked benchmark are in line with the previous rumours which suggested that the RTX 3050 Ti will have 4GB of GDDR6 VRAM (Video Random Access Memory). The latest leak also shows that the graphics card will have 2560 CUDA cores. Lastly, the OpenCL score of the leaked GPU is 60559.

The highlight of the leak is that it is listed as an RTX variant, which will bring ray tracing that was kept exclusive to the 60-series GPUs. As of now, the baseline to get your hands on a graphics card with ray tracing is the RTX 2060. This means we might soon get ray tracing on affordable graphics cards as well.

As we mentioned, these are not the first rumours around the RTX 3050 Ti. The GPU was leaked previously on Asus' website and not just this, there have been leaks floating around the RTX 3050 as well. But this particular leak has a laptop in the picture, so it's too early to anticipate what will its PC counterpart offer, if there's one in the pipeline,

If the leaks are on point, the RTX 3050 Ti will be the fourth addition to Nvidia's 3000 series of GPU. As of now, the line-up has RTX 3080, RTX 3070 and RTX 3060 laptop GPUs. Bringing ray tracing to the budget segment is something enthusiasts have been wishing for, but we'll have to wait until Nvidia shares official details about it.
