The GTX 1080 Ti specification leaks point towards 12GB GDDR5X 10Gbps memory running across a 384bit memory interface that is able to get you a memory bandwidth of 480GB/s. The 1080 Ti has a thermal design power of 250 watts, as seen in the Titan X that was dropped recently.
Speaking of flagships, the graphics processing unit code-named GP102 comes with 50% more TMUs & ROPs, 50% more CUDA cores and 50% larger cache along with wider memory interface as compared to the GP104, used in GTX 1080 and GTX 1070.
The upcoming GTX 1080 Ti will be competing directly with AMD’s upcoming high-end graphics cards, the “Vega 10” that is rumoured to carry RX 500 series branding. The rumoured RX500 are said to feature second generation 16GB bandwidth memory, up to 4096 GCN cores and 12 teraflops.
