NVIDIA’s upcoming GTX 1080 Ti graphics could be revealed at CES 2017 that is scheduled in January according to reports. The upcoming GTX 1080 Ti could feature NVIDIA’s high-end Pascal based flagship GPU, codenamed GP102, packing in 3328 CUDA cores, 12GB of GDDR5X memory along with 10.8 TFLOPs of graphics power. The user who goes by the name Excalibur50 has revealed the specifications of the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti in Overclock3D forums.

The power-packed graphics card could be clocked at 1600MHz with boost and 1502MHz as base, according to the leaks. The card could be priced between $650 to $1,200 and will likely cost $799 or higher. There is no official word on either the leaked specifications or pricing and release date of the GTX 1080 Ti, thus all the details mentioned in this article should be taken with a grain of salt and all of it can be only confirmed after the official announcement.

The GTX 1080 Ti specification leaks point towards 12GB GDDR5X 10Gbps memory running across a 384bit memory interface that is able to get you a memory bandwidth of 480GB/s. The 1080 Ti has a thermal design power of 250 watts, as seen in the Titan X that was dropped recently.

Speaking of flagships, the graphics processing unit code-named GP102 comes with 50% more TMUs & ROPs, 50% more CUDA cores and 50% larger cache along with wider memory interface as compared to the GP104, used in GTX 1080 and GTX 1070.

The upcoming GTX 1080 Ti will be competing directly with AMD’s upcoming high-end graphics cards, the “Vega 10” that is rumoured to carry RX 500 series branding. The rumoured RX500 are said to feature second generation 16GB bandwidth memory, up to 4096 GCN cores and 12 teraflops.
