Notion Ink Adam 2 tablet with dual displays launched, price starts at Rs. 16,499

Notion Ink has launched the much-hyped second generation of its Adam tablet in the Indian market. The tablet, called Notion ink Adam 2, sports a 10.1-inch HD (1280x800p) IPS LCD screen and secondary STN (Super Twisted Nematic) screen panel (100x5p) on the left edge of tablet for displaying notifications and contextual information .

Starting at just Rs. 16,499 for Wi-Fi and 18,999 for Wi-Fi 3G model Adam 2 specifications include 10.1″ IPS Display, 1.5GHz dual-core Cortex A9 processor, Mali 400 GPU, 1GB DDR3 RAM with Android 4.2.2. The tablet also comes with 6000mAh battery for full day of uninterrupted usage. For the time being, the slate is available for Indian consumers only, but more markets will be added soon.

Notion Ink is an Indian start-up popular for producing unique tablets. It came into limelight back in 2010 when it unveiled, the first Adam tablet which had one of the first Pixel Qi sunlight readable displays to have ever been featured in a consumer mobile device.
