Nikon has reportedly announced the proposed release of two new digital cameras into the market – the Coolpix S1100pj projector camera and the S5100 digital camera. The Coolpix S1100pj is said to be an tweaked version of the Coolpix S1000pj projector camera,which is said to be sleeker, lighter and incorporate a brighter 14 lumens projector. Another significant aspect of the Coolpix S1100pj, is its ability to project images and videos over the USB interface on a laptop or a computer, and also incorporate a touchscreen telestrator feature.
The Coolpix S1100pj is said to have a feature-rich configuration, that includes: a 3-inch 460,000-dot touchscreen, 14MP image sensor, 720p video recording, ISO sensitivity up to ISO 6400, 28-140mm focal range, 5x optical zoom with 5-way image stabilizer. It is estimated to be priced anywhere around $100 to $349. It is expected to hit the shelves next month.
The Coolpix S5100 seems to have a lighter configuration including: a 12.1MP sensor, ISO 3200 sensitivity, 720p video recording, 5x optical zoom with 4-way image stabilization, anti-blur technology. It is estimated to cost around $179 and is expected to hit the market in October.
