Mobile World Congress, 2023 has got a lot more than just smartphones. We get to see a lot of bleeding-edge mobile technologies including smart glasses. This year, there were smartglasses from brands like Xiaomi, Oppo and ZTE. Here are the details about these 3 AR glasses.

1. Nubia Neovision Glass

The Nubia Neovision Glass got unveiled at MWC 2023 as the world’s first smart glasses with TUV Rheinland certification for picture quality and Hi-Res certification for sound. It sports a 120-inch micro OLED screen with a 43-degree field of view, FHD resolution, 3500 PPI, and 0-500° myopia adjustment.

For audio, you are getting dual omnidirectional speakers and a cyclonic sound tank, with over 44.1kHz sampling rate and more than 16 bits of bit depth.

2. Xiaomi AR Glasses

Officially christened Xiaomi Wireless AR Smart Glass Explorer Edition, the Xiaomi AR glass consists of electrochromic lenses, micro OLED screens with 1080p resolution, and 1,200 nits of brightness. Xiaomi has used a self-developed silicon-oxygen anode battery and Snapdragon XR2 Gen 1 processor to power this thing. The eyewear is made of carbon fibre and magnesium alloy.

Xiaomi has added air gesture-based AR applications that are said to work at a low latency of 50ms.

3. Oppo Air Glass 2

Oppo Air Glass 2 was first showcased at Oppo INNO Day 2022. But, the company brought it to the global audience at MWC 2023. It features a proprietary resin SRG-diffractive waveguide lens with vision correction capability. As is the case with other AR smartglasses, this one also has micro OLED screens with up to 1,000 nits brightness per eye. 

Under the hood, the Air Glass 2 is bearing Snapdragon 4100 SoC and a 200mAh battery.
