The Hulk has always been a fan-favourite and in World War Hulk, he is front and centre of one of the biggest titles in Marvel’s history. Another character that isn’t very well-known, Moon Knight, saw a resurrection in this graphic novel written by Warren Ellis. Illustrated by various artists, the book revolves around Marc Spectre, a man with a haunted past who dresses in white and fights crime. The story is a deep look at a broken mind and what it does to cope with that fact. Fun, gritty and thrilling, Moon Knight: Volume 1 should not be missed.
This was the book that started the entire MCU. The Ultimates introduced the world to a modern version of the Avengers. No longer were these heroes the shining example of honor but more human and broken as well. This was also the book that saw the likeness of Samuel L. Jackson used as Nick Fury. Check it out if you want to experience the beginnings of the MCU.
