WWDC is just a couple of days away now, and the anticipation has built up to the brim by now. We all know that Apple is expected to take the streak of AI ahead during the event which it started with the launch of the new M4 chip during its ‘Let Loose’ event. Now, reports suggest that Apple will release a new set of iOS 18 AI features at the upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) on June 10. Let’s find out more about this.
Rumoured iOS 18 AI features
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman we can expect new AI-based features with the iOS 18 update. First up, Siri could see some major improvement. Reports suggest that it will have a more conversational tone and come with new capabilities to assist users. Siri will have more proactive features. So these features can include auto-summarising notifications, providing quick news summaries, and transcribing voice memos.
That’s not all, the Photos app will also see an AI refresh. We might get to see AI-based photo editing. There are other things too like improvements to calendar auto-population and app suggestions. But we might not get to see a chatbot.

Speaking of chatbots, Apple might announce its partnership with OpenAI during the event. This partnership might eventually lead to an integrated chatbot. Other reports also reveal that Apple has been talking to Google to integrate Gemini AI for iOS 18, but there hasn’t been anything fruitful on that end.
All eyes are really set on Apple as its rivals OpenAI and Google both dropped some really cool upgrades with their products, taking the AI battle to the next level. But Gurman suggests that Apple might not have an event as impressive as the other two given its slow pace in the AI space.
All we have to do now is to wait till June 10th.
