During the Copilot+ debut, Microsoft and global OEMs announced PCs powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite and Snapdragon X Plus, the only devices capable of delivering the Copilot+ experiences. Copilot+ PCs are said to be the fastest, most intelligent Windows PCs ever built.
As a part of Copilot+ PC features, Microsoft has introduced “Recall”. Let’s delve into the details of what exactly is the Recall feature and how it works.

You can use Recall on Copilot+ PCs to find the content you have viewed on your device. The Recall feature is currently in preview status. On devices that are not powered by a Snapdragon X Series processor, installation of a Windows update will be required to run Recall.
Recall is currently optimised for select languages, including English, Chinese (simplified), French, German, Japanese and Spanish. This means Recall can retrieve snapshots from your PC’s timeline based on more sophisticated searches in these languages. During the preview phase, we will enhance optimisation for additional languages. Recall can also retrieve snapshots from your PC’s timeline based on text-to-text searches in more than 160 languages.

Recall uses Copilot+ PC advanced processing capabilities to take images of your active screen every few seconds. You can use the Recall feature to find the content you have viewed on your PC using search or on a timeline bar. Once you find the snapshot that you were looking for in Recall, it will be analysed and offer you options to interact with the content.
Recall will also enable you to open the snapshot in the original application in which it was created, and, as Recall is refined over time, it will open the actual source document, website, or email in a screenshot.
