Microsoft releases stability and performance patches for Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2

Microsoft has released various performance and stability fixes for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 this Patch Tuesday. They are all available at the Microsoft Download Center, and via the Windows Update. These updates can be found in Service Pack 1 beta for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 as well.
Patches:
- KB2028560 – offers “new functionality and performance improvements for the graphics platform.”
- KB2249857 – resolves a stability issue on 2TB hard disk drives that could result data corruption or loss.
- KB982110 – resolves a 64-bit OS registered type library error that occurs while running 32-bit applications
- KB2272691 – resolves application or firmware incompatibility issues that cause installation errors or system instability.
- KB2203330 – solves third-party application installation problems, related to the Media Transfer Protocol (MTP) device or the Windows Portable Device (WPD).
- KB979453 – resolves five issues of the Windows Home Server Power Pack 3 release.
