HIGHLIGHTS

Users across the globe are reporting that Microsoft 365 is not working for them.

Downdetector data showed that over 23,000 people had reported that the Microsoft platforms were not working for them.

Over 4,000 users also reported issues related to Microsoft Teams.

Remember the global Crowdstrike outage that happened two months back? Today, something similar has happened again. Users across the globe are reporting that Microsoft 365 is not working for them. Downdetector data showed that over 23,000 people had reported that the Microsoft platforms were not working for them. Over 4,000 users also reported issues related to Microsoft Teams.

Microsoft 365 acknowledged the issue and took to X (formerly Twitter) to address this issue. The tweet read, “We’re investigating an issue where users may be unable to access multiple Microsoft 365 services. Please look for MO888473 in the admin center for more details and further updates.”

Adding to that the company said, “We’re reviewing network telemetry and recent changes to our networking infrastructure. Additionally, we’re working with a third-party ISP to understand the underlying cause. Please look for MO888473 in the admin center or visit https://status.cloud.microsoft for the latest details.”

But funnily enough, users even access the said webpage. One user replied to the tweet and said, “That’s one of the services that is down. We can’t login to office.com to see MO88473. 🤦🏻‍♂️”

Microsoft is yet to comment on why this is happening and by when will the issue get resolved. However, Azure cloud platform took to on X and said that it was probing customer reports of a potential issue connecting Microsoft’s services from AT&T networks.

Globally, a lot of users use Microsoft, and it is a primary source of communication in various offices. So the impact of this outage is big. Are you one of those who has been impacted by this? Let me know in the comments.

Like I mentioned earlier, this comes just two months after the Crowdstrike issue. Many Microsoft servers, around the globe, were impacted. This had created a lot of chaos, as even flights, and banks had to face the brunt.
