MediaTek has announced the Dimensity 7300 and the Dimensity 7300X. These are a pair of 4nm chips for high-tech mobile offerings. According to the company, the Dimensity 7300 chipsets facilitate seamless multitasking, exceptional photography, fast-paced gaming, and AI-enhanced computing. Additionally, the Dimensity 7300X is tailored for flip-style foldable devices, offering support for dual displays.

Both MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipsets feature an octa-core CPU with 4X Arm Cortex-A78 cores running at up to 2.5GHz and 4 Arm Cortex-A55 cores. Built on a 4nm process, these chipsets are said to achieve up to 25% lower power consumption in the A78 cores compared to the Dimensity 7050.
The CPU is complemented by the latest Arm Mali-G615 GPU and a suite of MediaTek HyperEngine optimisations, enhancing gaming performance. Compared to competitor alternatives, the Dimensity 7300 series is said to deliver 20% faster FPS and 20% better energy efficiency.

The Dimensity 7300 chipsets come equipped with the MediaTek Imagiq 950, offering an enhanced photography experience. With 12-bit HDR-ISP and support for a 200MP main camera, users can capture better images.
The Dimensity 7300 boasts new hardware engines for precise noise reduction (MCNR), face detection (HWFD) and video HDR, ensuring stunning results in any lighting condition.
Moreover, live focus photo performance is accelerated by up to 1.3 times and photo remastering is increased by up to 1.5 times compared to the Dimensity 7050, according to the company. Also, users can shoot 4K HDR video with over 50% wider dynamic range than competing solutions.
The MediaTek APU 655 boosts AI tasks, performing twice as fast as the Dimensity 7050, the company said. The Dimensity 7300 chips also use new data types to save memory and run AI models more efficiently. With MediaTek’s MiraVision 955, phones using Dimensity 7300 chips can have super detailed screens with lifelike colours and global HDR support, making videos look great. Plus, the Dimensity 7300X supports flip phones with two screens, meeting the demand for new phone designs.
