MapMyIndia to unveil Android-based in-dash navigation system at Auto Exp

MapMyIndia will be unveiling what it calls India’s first internet-connected & Android-based in-dash GPS navigation system at the Delhi Auto Expo 2012, which begins tomorrow. More details will follow after the launch.

For now, what’s known is the new MapMyIndia in-dash GPS navigation system will be called MapMyIndia Zx250, and have access to the Android Market. It will come with MapMyIndia Maps v7.0 pre-installed, with maps of over 4000 cities in India, as well as Aura, their new 3D navigation (20 cities) and house-level search (36 cities) software.

Rohan Verma, Director of MapMyIndia, issued the following statement about the new device:

The current announcements mark the next leap in what’s available to the Indian consumer.
