How to avoid such scams

  • Be sceptical of unsolicited messages: If you receive a message offering money for simple tasks, be cautious. Scammers often use tempting offers to lure victims.
  • Verify the source: Before clicking on any links or transferring money, verify the authenticity of the sender. Look for red flags like unfamiliar contact information or suspicious links.
  • Don’t pay upfront: Legitimate companies or individuals do not ask for upfront payments for services or tasks.
  • Report suspicious activity: If you suspect a scam, report it to the authorities immediately to prevent further damage.
