Mahindra & Mahindra has launched a new cloud-based IoT platform for all of its vehicles. Called DiGiSENSE, the new technology will connect Mahindra’s commercial vehicles, trucks, tractors, and other construction equipment to the company’s cloud platform. Using DiGiSESE, owners, technicians of Mahindra vehicles will be able to track their vehicles, access important vehicle health information, contact emergency repair services, and run remote diagnostics.The platform will also be customisable, as per the user’s needs. Customers will also get upgrades to the system over the cloud, making it easy to get new functionalities, as and when the system gets updated.
Mahindra claims that all this information will be available to DiGiSENSE users in real-time. DiGiSENSE will be a subscription service for those who want the same integrated with their vehicles. Initially, the platform will be available on the Mahindra Jeeto and Imperio small commercial vehicles, Arjun Novo in the tractor segment, Blazo in the heavy commercial vehicle segment, and Earthmaster in the construction segment.
With this platform, Mahindra becomes the first Indian OEM to launch a cloud-based IoT platform for vehicles.
