Priced at INR 1,125, the M196 is designed for quick Bluetooth connectivity, allowing users to connect to their devices in just a few seconds. The manufacturer claims that the mouse offers a battery life of up to 12 months, which could be a significant advantage for those who prefer not to frequently replace batteries.
The M196 features a compact and ambidextrous design, making it suitable for both left- and right-handed users. This design choice aims to enhance user comfort during extended periods of use, making it a practical option for professionals, students, and anyone who spends a lot of time working on a computer. Its portability is another aspect worth noting, as it can easily fit into a laptop bag, allowing for convenient use on the go.
Roopak Krishnan, Head of Marketing and Category at Logitech India, emphasized the importance of reliable peripherals in today’s digital workspace. He stated, “The M196 is a comfortable budget-friendly mouse that helps users navigate the digital landscape and focus on their tasks.” This statement highlights Logitech’s intent to cater to users looking for practical solutions without a high price tag.
In addition to its functional features, Logitech has also focused on sustainability in the M196’s design. The mouse is made using recycled materials, with 67 percent of the plastic in the graphite variant and 66 per cent in the off-white and rose variants derived from certified post-consumer recycled plastic. This initiative reflects Logitech’s broader commitment to reducing carbon impact and promoting environmentally responsible practices.
