LG has announced global launch of its LG G Pad 10.1. The device, announced last month, runs on the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system, along with features similar to the company’s flagship smartphone LG G3.
The South Korean manufacturer had announced the European availability for its G Pad 7.0 in June and said that the G Pad 10.1 and G Pad 8.0 would also be made available in the coming weeks. The G Pad 10.1 boasts an 8,000 mAh battery and has the KnockCode security feature found in LG’s flagship smartphones. This allows users to set a specific knock pattern to unlock their device.
In addition, the G Pad 10.1 also has the Smart Keyboard feature, which reduces the keyboard errors by learning the users typing habits. The Dual Window mode in the LG G3 is also present on the tablet.
The device has a 1.2 GHz quad core processor along with 1 GB of RAM and a 1,280×800 pixel HD display. It will be available in red, orange, white, black and blue colours.

Dual Window: Splits the tablet screen and runs two applications at the same time, dragging and dropping content from one window to the other for effortless multitasking.

LG makes connectivity more convenient with QPair 2.0, which provides seamless convergence between Android-powered tablets and smartphones via a simple Bluetooth connection. With QPair 2.0, users can receive notifications of calls and messages on a smartphone and reply or answer the call directly from the G Pad.
Knock Code™, the popular and acclaimed security feature that combines powering on and unlocking into one quick step, allows up to four users to register their knock patterns so family members can share the same tablet while still being able to keep their data and photos private.
