Another Windows 8 powered hybrid has been launched in India. This one comes from Lenovo, which has launched other devices in this category in the past. Called the IdeaPad Lynx K3011, the device runs on Microsoft’s Windows 8 OS and is priced at Rs. 51,990.
Lenovo claims that the IdeaPad Lynx K3011 is the first “Wintel” premium productivity tablet with a detachable keyboard. The hybrid device has an 11.6-inch 10-point multi touch IPS display with a 1366×768 pixel resolution.
The display also boasts of 400 NITS of brightness. Under the hood, it has a 1.8GHz dual-core Intel Atom CloverTrail CPU along with 2GB of RAM. It also has eMMC storage, two USB 2.0 ports, microSD card slot, microUSB slot, and a microHDMI port. The device also hoses a 2MP front facing camera.
The IdeaPad keyboard dock for the Lynx K3011 adds an additional 8 hours of battery life to the hybrid device. With out the keyboard dock, Lenovo claims that the device will last for 8 hours. Combined with the dock, the hybrid has the ability to last for 16 hours.
In the past, we have seen Lenovo launch the IdeaPad Yoga, a Windows 8 powered laptop with a touchscreen. As the name Yoga suggests, the device can flex itself to become a tablet. We have seen a large array of Windows 8 hybrids including the likes of Sony Vaio Duo 11, HP Envy 2, Asus Vivo Tab, Dell XPS 12 and the Lenovo ThinkPad Twist to name a few.
