Lava has launched the E-Tab Connect Z7C in India, priced at Rs. 9,499. The Android 4.0 ICS-based tablet boasts of the ability to make voice calls, joining many similar recent offerings by manufacturers such as Micromax, HCL, Pantel, and Swipe.
The Lava E-Tab Connect Z7C tablet has a 7-inch display with a WVGA (800×480 pixel) resolution. It has a 1.2GHz Qualcomm MSM7227A processor combined with 512MB RAM. It also sports 4GB of built-in storage expandable via a microSD card up to 32GB.
The rear of the Lava E-Tab Connect has a 2MP camera and the front has a 0.3MP camera for video calling. Its connectivity options include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0. The tablet runs on a 3000mAh battery. It comes preloaded with a bunch of apps that includes Hungama, Bigflix, Edukart and Diamond Comics to name a few. Lava had said that they would announce a tablet that would boast of 3G calling. We have seen the launch of a few tablets that boast of the ability to make calls. We have seen the likes of the HCL ME Y3, which boasts not only voice calling, but dual-SIM capabilities as well. The Pantel Penta T-Pad WS708C also boasts of dual-SIM capabilities and voice calling.
Another budget tablet with 3G-voice calling is the Micromax Funbook P600, priced at Rs. 9,499.
