HIGHLIGHTS

You will never take a more expensive dump.

Ever had so much money that you ran out of things to spend on? Then this remote-controlled lineup of toilets might just be what you are looking for. Kohler, the interior fittings manufacturer, has come out with two futuristic toilets, namely, Veil and Numi, that promises the ultimate comfort and hygiene while you are taking a dump.

What’s so special about them, you might ask? Well, the Veil has LED lighting illuminating the bowl along with a touchscreen LCD remote control.  The lid is motion-activated and opens and closes slowly and quietly without slamming. It has a heated seat and automatic deodorisation system as well as a self-cleaning function that uses UV light and electrolysed water to sanitise the toilet. There are rear and front wash modes that spurt out warm water and a stainless steel wand that offers adjustable spray shape, position, water pressure, temperature and more.

The Numi takes things to the next level by integrating wireless Bluetooth music capability to the heated seat and foot warmer. You can play music and podcasts and stream wirelessly from any Bluetooth-enabled device using the in-built speaker. If Bluetooth is too much for you, there’s also an SD Card slot (we have no idea where!) to store music and an AUX port.

Kohler also announced a smart wall mirror called Verdera that can simulate natural light inside the bathroom. There are pivoting side panels that lets you direct light exactly where you need it. It reaches a max brightness of 1300 lumens and comes with wall-mount LED dimmers that allows you to control the lighting remotely.

Reading all this might have lightened you up a little, but the price might be enough to answer the nature’s call. The Veil is priced at Rs 3,05,476 while the Numi will set you back by Rs 4,87,462. The Verdera mirror comes for Rs 86,573.
