iTunes 11 to be available in the next few days

Updated on 22-Nov-2012

Apple’s announcement on September 12 of this year was dominated by the iPhone 5, but iTunes 11 was also a part of the event’s highlights. iTunes was supposed to hit the download section on Apple’s site sometime early October, but got delayed due to “circumstances.”

We’ve had no word on when to expect this updated version of Apple’s own music management software, until now. It seems that German music distribution service Feiyr has been mailing out musicians and artists its associated with requesting updated musician/band images which would be compatible with iTunes 11.

If this is true, then we can expect iTunes 11 to be coming out very soon, like sometime in the next few days.

A small, albeit important, detail of the news is that the mail has not been going out directly from Apple. For all we know, Freiyr could just be doing this to keep their database updated and ready for the time when Apple actually releases iTunes 11, in order to avoid the last minute rush.

Whatever the case, iTunes 11 should be out soon as it brings better compatibility with iOS 6, more efficient iCloud integration and an obvious user interface refresh. It is also said that the iTunes Store and App Store will be getting a significant makeover.
