As per the leaks, it will be powered by Apple’s latest A18 chip.

Apple launched the last iPad Mini three years ago. It was the iPad Mini 2021, and after that, we haven’t heard anything about a new iPad Mini so far. However, a few rumours and leaks are now surfacing on the internet, which suggesting the possible launch of the iPad Mini in October 2024, which means this month only. If rumours are to be believed then Apple is going to host another big event this month, where it can launch the new MacBook Pro with M4 chip and the new iPad Mini 7 as well. The launch date is not the only thing that has surfaced on the internet, there are a few more things about the tablet that have been leaked online. Let me tell you about it.

iPad Mini 7 rumoured specifications

As per the leaks, the new iPad Mini will be powered by Apple’s latest A18 chip, which can offer better performance and improved AI features such as enhanced Siri, and the playful Genmoji and Image Playground.

Moreover, the iPad Mini 7 is rumoured to feature the same 8.3-inch display and design from the sixth generation. The front camera will likely move to the landscape edge. This will probably help in enhancing video calls in landscape mode. It may also get upgrades like HDR 4 support and a wider aperture. Additionally, the iPad Mini 7 could support the Apple Pencil Pro, which offers features like squeeze gestures, haptic feedback, and Find My integration.

Coming to its price now, the iPad Mini 2021 WiFi variant was launched in India at a starting price of Rs 46,900, and the WiFi + Cellular variant was launched for Rs 60,900. The upcoming iPad Mini 7 is also expected to drop with a similar price tag. Leaks are suggesting that it could launch around Rs 50,000.
