After releasing the massive iOS 18.2 update with the much-anticipated Apple Intelligence features, Apple will now roll out the new iOS 18.3 update. Unlike the previous update, iOS 18.3 is expected to be a minor release containing bug fixes, a few minor add-ons, and other changes. According to reports, the tech giant will not include new Apple Intelligence features in future updates.

Although the exact timeline for the iOS 18.3 rollout is unknown, a 9To5Mac report has shared the expected release timeline, which includes beta updates and features. Here’s everything we know about the iOS 18.3 update.

iOS 18.3 release date (expected)

According to the report, the iOS 18.3 will follow the iOS 17.3 release timeline. For the unversed the iOS 17.3 Beta 1 was introduced on December 13, 2023, while the beta 2 version rolled out on January 3. The Beta 3 version was introduced on January 9, 2024, followed by the Release Candidate on January 17. The public rollout of iOS 17.3 happened on January 22.

If the report is believed to be true, iOS 18.3 might be available to the public in the last week of January. However, it can be subject to delay as the company has not introduced beta 2 as of now.

iOS 18.3 features

In terms of features, the iOS 18.3 will be a smaller update. It will be bringing the Robot vacuum support in the Home app along with a tweaked icon for the Image Playground application. It will also include bug fixes for the Writing Tools API and Genmoji. The users will also be able to log in to the Feedback application using the Face ID or Touch ID, the report added.

Furthermore, the Camera Control icon in the Accessibility page of Settings will support the dark mode. The report also mentioned that Apple will be bringing more Apple Intelligence features with the iOS 18.4 update. It is expected to roll out in March or April.
