iOS 16 iCloud Shared Photo Library: Here’s How It Works
With the update users will be able to connect all their photos in one place, sharing them with an audience of your choosing.
The feature will soon be launched as a part of the software update in iPhone iOS 16.
Here we will see how it works.
Among the various new iOS 16 features, there is this new built-in feature of sharing photos with friends and family. With this users can enjoy sharing pictures and videos collectively with their chosen audiences through iCloud. All of the data will be clubbed in one place and the access could be shared as you like.
This also lets you delete, add and edit the uploads so long as you have the access to the shared iCloud photo library..
The iOS 16 beta version launched the iCloud shared photo library feature recently and here we will learn how to use it.
The main difference between iCloud shared photo library and standard libraries comes in terms of how you set up things. The standard shared libraries usually are created in the Photos app on iPhone. But in the new iOS 16, users will need to create the library from the Photos section of the settings app. You add participants by sharing the link via Messages or any other medium. One can add up to six people in the library (including the host). Next, you add the photos either manually or automatically based on various filters like person, date, etc.
After deciding the group of people you want to share the photos with, you can further filter and choose who will get to see which lot of photos and videos in the library. Additionally with iOS 16 shared library feature you can also capture and add pictures right away from the camera to the library.
Apple revealed and mentioned that users will be able to switch between the camera app and the library for uploading and saving seamlessly.
It is currently available as part of iOS 16 developer beta. Once the feature is rolled out to the broader public, we will have a better idea of this feature.
