This groundbreaking initiative aims to place India at the forefront of the global robotics industry, competing with established players like Tesla, Boston Dynamics, and Agility Robotics. The launch is also a significant boost to India’s “Make in India” campaign, showcasing the country’s progress in advanced technology on a global stage.
Addverb’s humanoid robots are designed to tackle jobs often referred to as “3D” tasks—Dull, Dirty, and Dangerous. These robots are designed to handle tasks across industries such as retail, energy, and fashion. Co-founder and CEO Sangeet Kumar revealed that the robots will feature state-of-the-art GPU technology, energy-efficient actuators, and dual-arm capabilities, making them suitable for complex tasks.

The company plans to integrate Reliance’s Jio AI Platform and 5G connectivity into the robots, enabling them to navigate dynamic environments autonomously. This will be powered by advanced Visual and Language Action (VLA) technology.
Addverb is positioning itself as a strong contender in the humanoid robotics market, aiming to rival Tesla’s Optimus robots, which are expected to be priced between $20,000 and $25,000. Sangeet Kumar acknowledged the hefty investment required but expressed confidence in competing with international companies, including those in China that benefit from government subsidies.
