iBall launches the Slide WQ149R Windows 10 powered hybrid for Rs. 16,499

iBall launched the Slide WQ149R laptop-tablet hybrid in India. The device is priced at Rs. 16,499 and runs on Windows 10. Coming to the specifications, the device has a 10.1-inch WXGA IPS display with a 1280×800 pixel resolution. The device comes with a HDD slot where the user can replace the internal HDD of the device. It supports upto 1TB 2.5-inch HDD. Under the hood, the device has an Intel Atom processor coupled with 2GB of DDR3 RAM. It also houses a 5MP rear camera along with LED flash and a 2MP front facing camera. It has 32GB built-in storage expandable up to 64GB via a microSD card. It also has a built-in slot for 3G connectivity. A 7800mAh battery powers the entire device. 

At the launch event, Sandeep Parasrampuria, Director of iBall said, "We are thrilled to announce the launch of our latest iBall Slide 2-in1 WQ149R and this time with HDD slot provision, for storing plenty of music, movies, photos or documents. HDD Slot ensures that you get the most out of your device by letting you save more data and operate more programs than the internal storage capacity allows. With this introduction, we are sure to deliver enriching PC-like experience and increase the productivity at an economical cost of MRP Rs. 16,499 only."

We have seen the launch of a number of laptop-tablet hybrids and the biggest addition here is the ability to add a physical hard drive to expand the storage. In the past we have seen the launch of the iBall Slide WQ149i. The iBall Slide WQ149i is a Windows 8.1 based tablet. It has a 10.1-inch IPS display with 1280×800 pixels resolution. The tablet has an accelerometer sensor for gaming. It is powered by an Intel Atom 1.83GHz processor coupled with 2GB of DDR3 RAM. It comes with 32GB of inbuilt storage. It has a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera. Connectivity options included are Wi-Fi, HDMI, Bluetooth and USB OTG.
