While we crave for the days of large 16:10 High-Definition (HD) panels, we might admire Hewlett-Packard for crafting a sleek-looking 16:9 HD monitor. It is reported that the leading computer manufacturer has launched four new impressive LCD screens with the HD aspect ratio, the HP 2010i, 2210m, 2310m and 2710m.
It is deemed that the first two digits of each alphanumeric signify its diagonal screen size (except for the 2210m, which is apparently 21.5 inches diagonally), the ‘i’ designation is said to apparently signify the fact that you could expect a sub-par 1600 x 900 resolution with DVI / VGA inputs, while the other three monitors are also rated to display HDMI content in full 1080p resolution. All four panels are reported to have reasonably low response times, embedded 2Watts speakers and 1000:1 contrast ratios.
It is anybody’s guess that good things come at an expense, with the prices categorized as $180, $220, $260 and a likely $350-$400, for HP 2010i, 2210m, 2310m and 2710m respectively as per the display size.
