Google might have faced a setback in the development of Gemini AI.

When it comes to Artificial Intelligence, all the big tech companies are running behind in cracking the code and their biggest competitor as we all know is OpenAI’s ChatGPT. From Google to Microsoft, in recent times everyone has launched their AI models. Speaking of Google in particular, it already has one alternative to ChatGPT called Bard. However, the tech company has been working on another alternative that poses competition to GPT-4 called the ‘Gemini AI’. The company revealed this during the Google I/O 2023.

During this year’s Google I/O, the company announced that it has plans to further develop its conversational AI model with multimodal capabilities. That’s why they are working on the next-gen ‘Gemini AI’. This is a foundation model. Reports had earlier suggested that the Gemini AI would be released this year itself, but now it seems that due to production issues, the project has been delayed.

A report by The Information recently informed that Google might have faced a setback in the development of Gemini AI. The company’s plan is not going in the right direction and hence the launch has been pushed. According to The Information, Google’s AI is having trouble processing inputs in languages other than English. And this is a huge issue for Google.

Now, for Gemini AI to become a success, it must process other languages too. Earlier, Google did share access to early versions of Bard with Gemini AI with some companies that are part of the Google Cloud program. But two weeks earlier, Google had informed us that they wouldn’t receive the same before the first quarter of 2024. This also means that Gemini AI is quite late on its production roadmap.
