There's a nifty little trick using which you can still upgrade to Microsoft's Windows 10 OS for free.

Microsoft’s Windows 10 Anniversary Update is set for a rollout today, but some of you might have missed out on the free Windows 10 upgrade, which the company had made available for free since last year. Microsoft had earlier announced that it would stop rolling out the free upgrade on July 29, and will start charging for the same, for those who want the OS update post the deadline.

If you are one who skipped the free Windows 10 update and are now cringing to shell out $119 (Rs. 7,942 approx) for the same, worry not! You can still get your hands on the OS for free from Microsoft’s accessibility website. All you need to do is download an EXE file from the website, and the upgrade will begin at no charge at all. Apparently, the company is not checking who is downloading the extension and has also not announced any plans for halting the free upgrade for assistive technology users.

On upgrading to Windows 10, you can then take advantage of Microsoft’s free Anniversary Update, which promises to bring a whole host of new features to the OS. Given that this nifty little trick has caught the attention of many netizens, it’s time you make use of it now, before Microsoft catches onto the dodge.
